Best Bases for Absorbing Wax

Looking for feedback from those who do wax and have experience with a number of different brands. I'm talking sintered bases as extruded ones are rather lame when it comes to waxing.



Do you find any one brand whose sintered bases consistently absorb wax better than the rest?



Anyone know of anything one can do to help a sintered base that is poor at absorbing wax?
