Buying a cambered board, advice?

Hey all, I have been riding for two seasons now, and I have a couple questions about cambered boards. I am currently riding a 162 Niche Story which is a stiffer hybrid rocker board, and am looking to buy a new camber board, as my main focus on the hill is carving, going fast, etc, and I have
zero aspirations for park type things, at least for the foreseeable future. For reference, I rode my brothers Burton Custom Flying V and it was way too soft for my liking, and way too
loose underfoot. It is a good board, but I basically hated that feeling.
I have never ridden a cambered board, so I am a bit hesitant on what to get and if I will be able to handle it. For reference my stats are 6ft 4in, 225 pounds, 10.5 boot. I was looking at the Burton Custom, or even the Custom
X. Will the Custom X be any more difficult to ride, more apt to catch edges, etc, based on design differences to the custom regular, or is it simply a similar board, just stiffer? With my preferences for stiff boards and my weight, I don't want to get anything too soft, but at the
same time if I can't handle a stiff camber board and will be a tough learning curve, that doesn't sound too good either! So I guess just looking for any suggestions and things of that nature. Thanks all
