[HELP] Huge feet on a Lib-Tech TRS

So I just bought a 2015 - 162mm Lib-tech TRS. Overall I love the board but I'm starting to think my feet are too wide for the board.
My board is 25.6CM in the waist. I'm 6'4" 220 LBS with a 13 Salomon Faction boot. I'm learning how to carve properly and I've def gotten some toe drag causing me to fall. My back foot is positioned around 0 and my front foot is angled slightly forward (not sure the exact angles)
The only options I can think of are either
1. Get a wider board.
2. Get a smaller/low profile boot.
The thing is the widest version of my board is a 26.3 (I ride a 25.6).
Do you think the extra 7mm would make a difference at all?
I've also considered getting a lower profile boot. Does anyone think getting something like a Burton Ion would help?
Thanks!
