Burton Nug vs Burton Nug Flying V

Hi,
I'm new to the forums and I have a question for all the wise snowboarders out there about gear.
I'm an intermediate rider that loves tree riding and all mountain riding. I'm also just starting to learn some park riding. I'm can only comfortably land a backside board slide on box and 180 on small/medium jumps so I'm pretty green on that. I spend most of my time in the Tahoe but I will make a trip out to Utah, Denver, Whistler and Sunshine/Lake Louis. Last year, I went about 18 times, half of it in Tahoe (terrible conditions), and half of it as stated.
I'm 5'9, 150 currently riding a smaller 148 narrow lib tech TRS on Flux TT bindings. I've been scratching up my board quite a bit with a few big dings on the board. I'm thinking of adding a second board to when I go out of California. I had a nasty concussion on an old board last year because of terrible edge hold, so I prefer to stick to my TRS in the icy cali mornings (northstar backside!).
I'm looking into a 142 Nug right now and I'm interested in riding even smaller for fun. But I'm debating between the Burton Nug (which i believe is a camber board) vs the flying V (hybrid). Its on a great deal right now at around $272. Just wanted to hear some expert advice. I'm leaning towards the flying V but not sure if that is best if I want to mostly focus on trees. Thanks In advance.
