Need Bend/Mt. Bachelor local help

So an old friend of my mother's lives in Eugene, OR and she finally talked my mother into visiting and my mom, in turn, talked me into going with her. The trip is to take place some time next winter because I want to do some riding. While Hood would be an ideal choice it's not really an option, but Mt. Bachelor seems doable. I was thinking about making it a girl trip, take both ladies with me and treat them to a nice few day holiday. While both of them are former pro skiers they most likely will not be skiing much. Well they might get out to the mountain with me once but will mostly just stay behind. Basically I wanted to put them up in a cool hotel with a nice swanky spa, plenty of shopping and good eats in walking proximity and get them to have a great time. Preferably not too far from the mountain so I wouldn't have to spend too much time driving, but I think Bend is my best option.

I would much appreciate if any of Bend locals can suggest a nice area with plenty of shops, spas and restaurants. Touristy would be fine. It's my gift to them so I'm prepared to splurge.
