Lib Tech Dilemma, Advice Appreciated

d
Hello everyone, first time poster. Sorry to register and ask for advice right off the bat.

Anyhow, I have been snowboarding a long time but I have been pretty busy the last few seasons and only managed to go back into the country a couple times each year. This year I have more free time and have decided to buy some new equipment and get a seasons pass. I had planned on getting a Yes PYL 2016 when they come out and also a more playful board.

For my second board I was going to get a Lib Tech TRS 159 (I am 6'3'' and about 190 lbs, 11.5 boot); I liked the descriptions I had read about the XC2 BTX and reviews of this board in particular. However, on Lib Tech's website (see: Snowboard Technology – Lib Tech ) it listed the "Travis Rice Gold Member" as its only other board w/ the XC2 BTX. I did not really do my due diligence on the type of board this was --I assumed it was pretty much a TRS with 'firepower' (whatever that means), slightly different dimensions and pointy nose and tail. I found a pretty good deal on the Gold Member and ordered a 161.5 cm version.

Shortly after I placed my order, I started to think that the Gold Member is just a lighter/different flex version of the Speedodeeps model. Speedodeeps is listed under the 'technology' portion of Lib Tech's website as having a BTX profile but on it's webpage it says it is XC2 BTS. If I had realized the Gold Member was so similar to the speedodeeps (if it indeed is) I probably wouldn't have bought it.

I cannot return the gold member because it was on sale but I am tempted to sell it on ebay or something similar--I got it for about 435$, its brand new, and taking a small loss, if I even had to, would not be the end of the world if it means I have a better season this winter --I would probably get a TRS instead if I sold it.

I was just wondering if anyone had experience with the gold member? Is it similar to the TRS or more of a powder-only, speedodeeps type of board? Am I just splitting hairs and should be happy with the board? Any advice or experience w/ this board would be appreciated. My problem is I want the Yes PYL and the gold member seems to be mostly about powder and less about carving around on less exciting resort days; I do not ride the park much but do occasionally when I am with people who love the park.

Thanks for any advice or ideas and for taking the time to read all that mess if you are still with me at this point.
