Help me choose my next size. See data for comparison

I'm set on buying a Rome Mod Rocker. I believe it will be a great board for me. However choosing a size is making me go nuts. My current board is a 2015 Salomon Villain Classicks 155cm.

I had fun with the Salomon Villain. However I felt it was too long for me and it's somewhat hard to go straight during a high speed run. This board does not like hard charging. I have tried "feathering" by lightly pressing my toe/heel edge and I end up turning way too much and lost speed. Then I realize this board has the kind of sidecut designed for spinning when you boost off jumps. So after looking around for the next board, I really liked the Rome Mod Rocker. It has the kind of sidecut where you just want to go almost straight at high speed or rip a carve.

Weight: 155lbs
Boots: 8
Binding: Small/Medium

So my issue is this... I need to size down to either a 153cm or 149cm for my sweet spot in riding. Both board length will support my weight. The spec for Rome Mod Rocker 153cm is almost similar to the Salomon Villain 155cm.

I know what you're going to say... "Park/freestyle, go with 149cm. All mountain go with 153cm." Suppose the Mod Rocker 149cm can do all mountain just as well as 153cm can, which size would you go with?

Here's a comparison.
