Hi 1st post. Love snowboarding. Been doing it for years when it 1st started here in Australia. I've been riding a 2010 Burton Custom est 165W (Malavita) for about 4 years now. We have been going to Japan for the last 3 years and love the powder which we don't get much of in Australia.
Anyway I looked into getting a board that could be a bit more powder orientated and ended up grabbing 2015 Landlord 163. I remember hiring one about 10 years ago and liked it. Anyway took the LL out the other day in Australia and the snow was pretty poor, mainly man made. Noticed it failed to get a front edge a few times when I was carving through some steeper icy sections. This caused me to skid out and put me down on one hand before recovered back to my feet. I didn't like this. I don't know if it's the S rocker that made it hard to get that front edge in for me. The Custom 165 never really did this. But the big plus I found with the LL is that this board is so easy to carve side to side once you get some loose snow under the board. I'm going back in 5 weeks time when there is now, some natural snow on the ground. Can't wait.
