Burton Ambush boots - Do I have the right boots?

d
As some of you may have read on other parts of the forum, I am looking to get a board and bindings this year. I took the plunge and bought a set of Burton Ambush boots last year and went the whole hog with custom footbeds etc.

My query is whether I have bought the right style of boots to fit my preferred style of riding (i.e. charging/high speed on groomers)?

I intend to get a Burton Custom X or something similar and some Flow NX2-GT bindings and I wondered whether if one is going for a stiff board and bindings you need stiffer boots as well?

I went with the Ambush for the lacing system and the lightness which I thought would help with endurance. However, in hindsight I wondered due to the fact they are quite flexible whether they give you enough support to go charging down the piste at speed.

I did notice I got some pain and pressure points in the lower segment of the boot (particularly over the bridge of my foot - although I appreciate that could be a whole other kettle of fish!)

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lewis
