New stick, needs to float

A brief history. I've been riding since '97 or so, always lived in the southeast and started in NC, VA, WV, but have been taking a one week long trip out west each year for about 14 years.
Rode a Ride Jeff Brushie first, upgraded to a fully cambered NS Premier 161, that got stolen from the airport, rode an Arbor mystic for one season which I really disliked, and have been on an '09 TRS BTX 154 these past five years. I have a pair of Cartels from a couple years ago I'd keep using, I'm 5'9" and 165lbs, size 10 boots.
I did love bombing the groomers on the Premier, but it was heavy and unwieldy to turn quick and get down mogul'd up steeps. Ever since I got the TRS I've slowed down a bit, as it doesn't seem to dig a trench on anything that steep and likes to scrub out instead of hold a tight line. Easy on moguls and I spend a lot more time in the trees now, but still get stuck some times if I'm making my own tracks, just doesn't float that well at slow speeds.
Anyways I am looking for a board that both floats better in pow and can hold a better edge at speed. The more time I can spend in slack country the better, but of course I still do a lot of groomers. I'd still like to be able to scrub speed with quick slashes when needed and don't want something that doesn't maneuver quickly through tight trees. I've compiled a pretty big list but of everything on here the Burton Barracuda, Yes PYL, and Jones MT/Hovercraft seem to be the top contenders. I was really loving what I was reading about the Rossi XV but ran across some soft/weak base pics and it scared me off. Sounds like the 2015 MT is a slightly inferior version to that from 2014 so that may be out.
