Bay Area CALIFORNIA

After 20 years, I finally decided to buy a real board. LOL. Because I thought snowboarding tickets and equipment were too expensive. (I still do.) lol. Also it's 4 hours away from me, and not in my backyard. :D I'm making more of an effort to go snowboarding now because it has always been at the back of my mind and I've never really done it even though I said I would, hehe. In my 20's I was posting on rock climbing boards. :D. I was okay at climbing, never seriously advanced, but kind of got bored with it. I'm 38 now. Most people on here seem to be teens and twenties, lol. I first stepped on to a snowboard around 1996 when i was 20. LOL. I plummeled straight down without knowing anything about edges lol. I own a 1995 Burton board. LOL. and I am not that good. lol. I'm trying to go more often. I think it's an expensive sport unless you own your own equipment, live close, and own a season pass. :D I may drop into the forum every now and then to ask questions about getting better, equipment, or regional questions. :D
