Bought a new pair of boots, back one painful

I ended up buying a pair of K2 T1 DBs from a local shop after really loving them in the store (didn't notice any issues when trying them on there). When I got home and tried them on though, the right boot got quite painful when tightened down all the way. The left boot was 100% fine even when very tight, but the right has this contact point at the top of my ankle (right around where the Navicular Bone is pictured here http://static-dev-climbing.s3.amazon...kle-Injury.jpg) and it's very uncomfortable.
It looks like this is around where the inner boa plastic piece is contacting my foot, but as I said, it doesn't bother me at all in the front. Has anyone experienced this before? Is it a bad boot? Or is my back foot a slightly different size? Or do I just need to try breaking them in more? I have already heat molded them and that didn't help.
