Splitboard bindings on a solid

I've got a couple of boards, which i'd sometimes like to ride during the same day - but due to the way I travel, it's impractical to take more than 1 pair of bindings. I know I could just unmount/remount the same pair of regular bindings, but it's extra hassle.
I'm wondering whether getting a set of splitboard bindings (probably Spark Magnetos) and a set of 'solid mounting plates' for each board, and just swap them around.
Has anyone tried this? I've had a look, and there seem a few options such as the One-system or the Prowder plates - are these any good? I presume the standard Voile pucks don't work on standard 4x4 mounting holes?
How much play/slop is there when splitboard bindings are mounted on a solid plate? My preference is for stiffer bindings anyway, so full aluminum bindings like the Sparks sound appealing anyway :)
And of course - it would make the inevitable transition to splitboarding that extra step easier, in the future :hairy:
Amy input would most appreciated :)
