Binding Heelcup Proposition?

Wouldn't it help if someone designed a boot that hooked under the heelcup? or a binding boot interface that would still allow easy release like in regular bindings but the boot would extend under the heelcup for a bit less heel lift out of the boot, which I guess would create more heel lift in the boot but a tighter boot mold would fix that.



Is anyone doing this these days?
