Est vs reflex vs.... Katana

Hey.
So after having all my gear stolen (long/shitty story) i'm starting afresh for next season.
Boards wise I was thinking salomon assassin vs a jones mountain twin...
However I have just seen the new endeavour line for 2016 which will use the EST channel. Therefore the "endeavour live" is in the mix!
I've been tempted to try the channel for a while but never fancied another burton board (had the blunt).
So are EST bindings on the channel much of an improvement over the burton reflex? I've been looking at probably the malavita and for next season on the 2016 catalog the EST 'vita is more responsive than the reflex. Any weight to this?
Also like the idea of "the hinge" on the est bindings but not sure if this is a marketing gimmick.
Anyone got any thoughts on EST being worth it as it may swing my decision RE which board to get?
If there's not an awful lot of difference then it's between the 'VITA/rome katana (on whatever board I end up with).
