Beginner buys a used board nightmare...seeking advice

Hey guys, I'm new to snowboard forum and this is my first post. I joined snowboard forum because I'm a super beginner and feel like I have much to learn... Most importantly, I need some advice on how to handle being ripped off on my first snowboard purchase..
Here it goes.
In about November 2014, I bought a used never summer revolver 160 cm from a high school acquaintance.. It came with used RK30 flux bindings... I payed $325 cash for it, and bought it solely to practice and take to a trip to Vail colorado.
I bought the board, but was a little suspicious about the owner, and the stuff he told me.. at the time, I new ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about snowboards, and he worked at the only ski shop in town..
The day of purchase....The board had a small crack in the edge, and another large, cracked and slightly displaced spot in the edge, but the owner assured me that it was simply superficial. I take two painful runs with it at a local slope.. it doesn't ride perfect but it got the job done.
2 months later. Cue arrival to vail.
I check my board in at the valet storage for my hotel, and the repair guy tells me that my board is seriously damaged and needs repaired. Called the seller and asked him and he said a good repair job will last me the rest of my life... I pay $60 and the repair is ok. It cracks 2 days later and the head repair guy fixes it pro bono... He then proceeds to tell me the seller really screwed me and I should get my money back because it took 4 hours to fix the board and he said that a board that damaged and weak won't last me much longer. He then tells me he did the first repair job and that he knew a board that damaged wouldn't last long, even though he did all he could both times.
I'm gonna provide some photos and see what y'all think. Let me know asap because I'm confronting this guy tomorrow.
What do YOU think the board is worth? Did i get screwed and taken advantage of? what actions should i take against this dude....
msrp for brand new never summer revolver and flux bindings is 407+160= $567....
