Longboard sizing

I'm FINALLY going to be able to purchase a longboard for the off-season this year - hopefully in the next month or so. I've been looking at the Landyachtz boards - I like how they tell you exactly what the board will be best used for. I'm picturing myself more as a cruiser with some carving thrown in, kind of like my snowboard style...but starting as a total beginner on a longboard. So a few questions: would I need to put griptape on the top surface? And does sizing matter? I'm 4'11 around 105lbs. Should I be shooting for something around 35 or 40? I'm stoked to finally be getting one (hopefully sooner than later!)
Edit: I see some do come with griptape...BUT it seems the exact ones I was debating between are out of stock. :( Hoping something I'm wanting will be back in stock by the time I'm ready to buy!
Edit2: Wiredsport I sees carries a few of the boards I was looking at! Will def be sending a PM!
