why is the Jones all mountain grabbing the slush

Hi all,
Recently got to try out the Jones all mountain ltd 2015 in Japan. Works great on the snow in general, excels in powder. But for some reason I noticed the edges (just the edges), I feel like the board is grabbing the snow a bit, almost like it goes through a patch of glue (not that extreme but I can definitely feel it and it sometimes throws my balance out a tiny bit). I gave it a wax, didn't make a difference. Even had Rhythm Snowsports do the wax and it didn't make a difference. Also, it only seems to grab on slush only - never on ice, powder, crud or any other form of snow.
Has anybody else experienced this before? And have you figured out how to fix it? Any suggestions and ideas are really appreciated.
Many thanks!! :)
