Goggle Lens protectors

So last year a company "RipClear" came on here and got themselves ripped to shreds (as do pretty much any company when they come on here with a promotion as their first post :eyetwitch:).
But after going through yet another fishbowl lens, i'm starting to get curious whether anyone here actually signed up for/tried their product, or something similar.
I have some Nike Fade goggles on the way (yes i know, the Nike that everybody hates), and since its a cylindrical goggle, i figure its a good chance to try out the protectors.
And of course the right answer is to never ever touch your lens, never ever fall on your face/hit a branch, etc, but it snows a lot in Japan and i am constantly battling with snow stuck to my lens, which results in scratches no matter how gentle i try to be.
So yeah, are they worth it?
