Ripsaw or proto

So iv just enjoyed my first season of snowboarding and am beyond hooked. I bought a ride agenda at the end of last season thinking that it would last me a while... But I believe I've outgrown it. I ride 95% east coast stuff and basically like everything on the mountain except park. Love bombing the hills, jumpin the catwalks and love the glades. Riding switch is important to me as well. But I also ride with my wife and family so I'm on green runs some too. Iv never had the opportunity to ride another board but think I'd like either a proto or a rip saw. Really I would like the rip saw but am worried that it might be tough to ride lazy and slow with the fam. Maybe proto would be better for me. Guess the question is what's the real difference in the proto and the rip saw? Thanks!
