Widening the boot?

Picked up a new pair of size 10 Burton Rulers for mega cheap. My feet measure 27.8cm long, and 11cm wide. I had been in 10.5s, but my length shows a 10 is what I should be in. I'd never even considered the width of my feet, have never had an issue in any other shoes. I spent 4 hours today in the Rulers for the first time, and the length actually felt okay (heat moulding will make it perfect) but there was a fair bit of pressure at the base of my little toes. Will this heat mould out as well, pack out over time, or is there anything I can do to accomodate some extra room? Maybe shave a little bit off that section of the liner? Otherwise these boots feel great, arch fits well, no heel lift, circulation felt fine, just that damn pressure at the base of my pinky. As it is, I know I couldn't ride in these.
