Boaring in Virginia

Hey! I recently found out I will be moving to Newport News Va, and was wondering if anyone has been to Wintergreen, Bryce, or any of the other resorts in the west of VA? I have been serious about boarding for 2 years now and have been living in Japan where the POW is everywhere. What can I expect from the resorts in VA? Also if anyone knows anywhere else I might not know about let me know, Thanks You!
