Can snowboarding boots be used as regular boots?

Hi everybody, I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question. I don't snowboard so I don't know anything about the boots. I'm almost 7 feet tall and I wear size 22 shoes. I have a really hard time finding boots. There's a site offering a pair of the Bigfoot snowboard boots in my size for $40, and I'm just wondering if I could wear them as regular winter boots or hiking boots. Thanks, Jason
