Diode, Genesis or Cartel EST 2015 for hard carving style

Hi,
new user here.. as a short introduction, I've been snowboarding since 2000, 15-20 days a year if I can. My style gets as close to alpin racestyle as my kit lets me (long-drawn deep low carves mostly), I do less and less park every year. I've been always riding various camber Custom boards mostly on Cartel bindings in my trusty (about 8 years old) Driver X boot. The time has come to catch a 2015 Custom X board just a week ago on ebay for a fair price, so I'm into an upgrade already.. and as I'm giving away my Cartels with my previous board, I'll also need new bindings.
This gets to my dilemma: visiting the local Burton shop today, they heavily recommended _against_ the Diode EST 2015 (which looked a very pricy but seemingly logical choice) as they said it's not durable at all and won't last me 2 years or so. Looking at in person, I'm also very worried about the little strap(?) on which the highback meets the baseplate.. it looks really really easy to brake and I'd highly prefer careless riding instead of worrying about guarantee situations after every third tour.
The guy in the shop praised highly the Genesis EST 2015. It looked comfy but I'm not sure it'd give enough support for my riding style, for which the Custom X looks like an ideal weapon. Also this bindings looked a bit err.. complex, too many this and that around (eg. I'm not sold about the double highback at the first glance).
Another logical choice would be picking the Cartel EST 2015, as it seems to be the closest in flex to the Diode, according to the Burton website. Also, while my old Customs were certainly too soft for hard carving, I never felt that my old Cartels kept me back in riding.
Anyone with hands on experience on these bindings can help me out with some openions? I'll keep my kit for another 4-6 years at least and I'm willing to make a more expensive purchase to get an ideal setup.. Thanks in advance!
