Freeride camber board suggestions.

I started riding last season and go pretty often. My first board was a burton blunt (rocker), then got a custom flying v this season (hybrid). Theyre fun to ride, but because im in the north east, im usually riding hardpack and ice at least half the day. I really want a traditional camber board thats going to perform better in these conditions when im freeriding. I know the custom x would be a good choice but it seems a bit too aggressive for someone thats never ridden a camber board, and im not looking to spend $600. Can you suggest a board with good edgehold on hardpack that isnt tooo aggressive? Something cost effective as well.
