Tamedog/invert attempts. Loosen boots??

Hey guys,
Trying my first tamedogs and maybe a wildcat into some fresh pow. Almost get the rotation round for the tamedog but have mostly been digging the tail in.
Anyways, I was wondering whether you guys think its a good idea to loosen the boots off before trying or if I should keep them pretty tight?
I'm trying to minimise injury risk but now that I think about it, loose boots might snap something worse... I was going on the principle that a bit looser gives more room before something (my bones) have got to give.
Will post a video after this weekend with my massive failed attempts :hairy:
