Progression from straight jumps

d
Recap: Back in late December, I landed my first jump off a beginner ramp and before I had that mastered, I decided to attempt 180s. I did that for two days and though I rarely fell, it was very, very rare for me to land 180 cleanly. Fast forward to February (didn't have a single day free in Jan), I decided to pick off where I left off and injured my back (tore a ligament) on the 2nd day I started snowboarding this year. For a while I could not twist my torso at all without being in agony meaning that even strapping my board was torture.

Fast forward to the past week, my condition has improved a lot (80-90% recovered) and I have been practising regular jumps for about 5 days, working on landing more cleanly and gradually popping higher. It is not perfect, but it definitely getting better. And yesterday, I could do some 180s on green runs without discomfort (another sign I am getting better). I think that I will be back to 100% in just a few more days.

Once I am fully recovered, I'd make another attempt at progressing beyond straight jumps. As my goal this season (which I am still hoping to achieve) is to do a 360, I am tempted to go back to practising 180s. But would it actually better to work on shifties or grabs first? What are the easiest and recommended as first step beyond straight jumps?
