Too much focus on heel edge

Anyone ever run into the problem of using 1 edge way more than the other and it hinders your performance? This is my second year riding and I find myself way too heel edge oriented. For example when I'm approaching a jump/kicker I always jump off my edge and land on my edge and it usually causes me to be off balance in the air and slide out on my ass when I land.
This isn't a big surprise because Im most comfortable on my heels, but when approaching natural jumps and stuff, sometimes it would make sense to approach it with my weight forward rather than back (AKA slightly on my toe edge) because of how the jump is positioned on the snow.
I know that the answer is to just focus on using my toe edge more until it feels natural, but this shit is frustrating.
